 Lined diaphragm valve is a special form of cut-off valve, which appeared in the 1920s. Its opening and closing part is a diaphragm made of soft material that separates the valve body cavity from the valve cover cavity and the drive parts, so it is called a diaphragm valve. Its most prominent feature is that the diaphragm separates the lower valve body cavity from the upper valve cover cavity, so that the valve stem, valve flap and other parts above the diaphragm are not corroded by the medium, eliminates the packing sealing structure, and does not cause medium leakage.

 1. The diaphragm is made of rubber or plastic and other soft seals, which has good sealing properties. Since the diaphragm is a consumable part, it should be replaced regularly according to the characteristics of the medium. 

 2. Limited by the diaphragm material, the diaphragm valve is suitable for low pressure and relatively low temperature. 

 3. According to the structural form, diaphragm valves can be divided into six types: house type, DC type, cut-off type, pass-through type, gate type and right-angle type; the connection form is usually flange connection; according to the drive mode, it can be divided into three types: manual, electric and pneumatic, among which pneumatic drive is divided into three types: normally open type, normally closed type and reciprocating type. 

 4. Generally, it is not suitable for use in pipelines with temperatures above 60 degrees and transporting organic solvents and strong oxidizing media, nor in pipelines with higher pressure. The diaphragm valve is a valve used to open or cut off the air flow in a fluid system of 1.3×10-5~2.5X106Pa.
