Overview

The worm gear wafer butterfly valve is a type of butterfly valve that uses wafer connection and worm gear transmission as the driving mode. Its core function is to drive the butterfly plate to rotate (0°-90°) through the worm gear mechanism, thereby achieving on-off control or flow regulation of the pipeline medium. It combines the advantages of the "compact structure and easy installation" of the clamping valve with the "labor-saving and smooth opening and closing" of the worm gear drive. It is widely used in medium and low-pressure pipeline systems in industries such as water supply and drainage, HVAC, petrochemicals, and power, especially suitable for large-diameter (DN100 and above) or scenarios with high manual operation resistance. It can efficiently control media such as water, steam, oil, and weakly corrosive liquids.

1. Easy operation and suitable for large diameters: The "deceleration and torque increase" feature of worm gear and worm transmission can significantly reduce manual operation force. Even for large-diameter valves with a diameter of DN600 or above, a single person can easily open and close them, solving the problem of "difficult operation in large diameters" of direct manual butterfly valves.

2. Compact structure and cost savings: The wafer connection does not require an independent flange for the valve body. Compared with flanged butterfly valves, the volume is reduced by 40% to 60%, and the weight is decreased by 30% to 50%. This not only saves installation space (especially suitable for equipment rooms with dense pipelines), but also reduces the procurement and installation costs of flanges and bolts.

3. Smooth opening and closing, reliable sealing: The worm gear and worm transmission is continuous meshing transmission, without impact, which can achieve slow and smooth rotation of the butterfly plate, avoiding water hammer in the pipeline caused by rapid opening and closing. When combined with soft seal or hard seal structures, it has excellent sealing performance when closed (the leakage of soft seal is ≤0.01% KV value, and that of hard seal is ≤0.1% KV value), meeting the sealing requirements of medium and low voltage working conditions.

4. Wide adaptability to media and strong adaptability to working conditions: By choosing different valve body, butterfly plate and sealing surface materials, it can be adapted to various media such as water, tap water, hot water, steam, engine oil, weak acid and alkali solutions, etc. The temperature range covers -40 ℃ to 400℃, and the pressure range covers PN0.6 to PN6.4MPa, taking into account both civil and industrial scenarios.

5. Easy maintenance and long service life: The worm gear and worm mechanism ensures smooth transmission and minimal wear. The vulnerable parts such as the valve seat and packing can be replaced separately without disassembling the entire valve. Daily maintenance only requires regular lubrication of the worm gear and worm (replenishing gear oil) and inspection of the wear of the sealing surface. The maintenance cost is low and the service life can reach 5 to 10 years.
