Insulated gate valve

Overview: 

The insulation gate valve is a special truncation valve with a thermal insulation jacket or insulation layer on the basis of an ordinary gate valve. The core function is to control the disconnection of the pipeline medium while maintaining the stability of the internal medium of the valve body by filling the insulation material or entering the hot medium (such as steam and hot water), so as to prevent the medium from solidification, crystallization or viscosity in the process of heat loss during transportation, so as to ensure the normal operation of the pipeline system. It is widely used in pipeline systems that need to transport high-temperature and coagulation media (such as crude oil, asphalt, syrup, molten salt, etc.) in petroleum, chemical, food, pharmaceutical and other industries.

Precautions for use and maintenance 

 1. Inspection of the insulation system: 

 Sleeve type: Regularly check whether the thermal media interface is leaking and whether the sleeve cavity is blocked (it can be judged by the temperature difference between the import and export. If the temperature difference is too large, it may be blocked), and clean up the dirt inside the jacket once every six months. 

 Insulation layer: Regularly check whether the insulation layer is damaged and damp, and whether the protective case is rusted. If there is a problem, replace the insulation material and repair the protective case in time to avoid insulation failure. 

 2. Opening and closing operation specifications: 

 Before opening and closing the valve under high-temperature conditions, it is necessary to preheat the valve body (heat the jacket type with heat medium for 10-30 minutes) to avoid stress cracking caused by the sudden rise and fall of the valve body. 

 During manual operation, turn the handwheel slowly to avoid excessive force causing the deformation of the valve stem; electric drive needs to check the high-temperature resistance of the motor and reducer, and regularly lubricate the transmission parts. 

 3. Sealing maintenance: 

 When the valve stem packing leaks, the packing cover can be properly tightened; if the fastening is ineffective, you need to stop and replace the packing (use the same model of high-temperature resistant packing, such as flexible graphite). 

 When the sealing surface of the gate plate and the valve seat leaks, it is necessary to check whether there are impurities scratches or the sealing surface is worn. Slight wear can be repaired by grinding, and severe wear needs to replace the gate plate or valve seat. 

 4. Disable protection: 

 When inactive for a long time, it is necessary to empty the internal medium of the valve body (to prevent low-temperature solidification and expansion of the valve body). The jacket type needs to empty the heat medium and blow it through compressed air to dry. The insulation layer type needs to do a good job of moisture protection to avoid moisture absorption and deterioration of the insulation material.


Product Application Scope

These devices are suitable for accurately controlling media such as gases, liquids, steam, etc., and maintaining process parameters such as pressure, flow rate, temperature, and liquid level at given values. Especially suitable for work environments where the allowable pressure difference is small and the allowable leakage is also small, and the pressure difference is not significant.
